Volunteer
In a recent workshop, one of our members said one of her dreams for Wildflower Church was that each of us would be doing what we love to do while celebrating what others are doing. This goes right to the heart of volunteer participation so vital to our congregation.
Each of us has gifts and interests to offer to the life of our church. Ideally, each person in our congregation would participate in at least two activities, one to give service to the programs of the church and one to receive spiritual enrichment and self renewal.
Much of the work of our church is done by various committees. The range of tasks is wide, and there’s room for everyone to contribute to the richness of our programs through committee work.
But we need to have opportunities for renewal and spiritual growth, too, and those are offered through our Covenant Groups, Affinity Groups, and Small Groups Ministry. If you have ideas for additional groups, please contact the chair of the Adult Programming Committee.
We want you to be active in the life of the church. Working with other people is a powerful way to connect with them and form friendships. The satisfaction of working with others to bring a task to successful completion strengthens the bonds among us.
We also encourage you to try different areas of work. Some of us find our niche right away and some of us take a little longer. Some of us are multi-talented and move from one committee to another after a year or so. What you choose to do is unique to you, but please get involved as you are able.
If you are ready to give some of your time to Wildflower Church, please complete the Time and Talents form , and give it to the chair of our Membership Committee. Someone will contact you soon to help you get connected in your areas of interest.
